Assessment Tool for DB2 Support and Development

Client
A global IT service provider, one of the most recognized companies in the IT community.

Project Overview
The goal of the project is to support  a comprehensive assessment tool for DB2 product customers as well as enhance and develop the product itself. The product is designed to optimize efficiency of a DB2 database on z/OS.

Solution
The IBA activities include L2 Customer Support, L3 Change Team, and Test Team. Getting involved in the project more than six years ago, IBA Group developed strong partnership with client teams that are engaged in major product design and development. Presently, IBA is maintaining several major product releases.

Results
IBA is constantly improving product quality, reducing the number of customer complaints and field–opened APARs (Authorized Program Analysis Reports). The project has achieved quality targets set by the customer's management. Users working with the assessment tool for DB2 product family describe their experience as pleasant.

Approver Maintenance Application (AMA)

Client
A major world tire production company

Project Overview
The project is aimed at the design, development, testing and support of the Approver Maintenance Application (AMA). The application is designed to streamline updates to the approval process for purchasing requisitions. AMA has been launched to provide an easy process to maintain data in our customer's purchasing systems.

Solution
IBA is working as a part of the development team. The IBA responsibilities include requirement analysis; application design; database design, application development; unit, functional and system testing; quality assurance; and support. The first ten stages of the project were finished on time with excellent references from the customer. The eleventh stage, namely the enhancement of the application is currently underway.

Results
The application was deployed to production in line with the schedule. IBA received excellent references from the customer. One of the clients said: “Great job everyone! We are finally live!!! We would like to thank IBA for all you developed, your help and expertise. Material Procurement System

Client
A recognized leader in manufacturing and wholesale of passenger cars, minivans, trucks and automotive components

Project Overview
The transformation of a legacy Material Procurement System (MPS) to Java 3-tier architecture and creation of up-to-date documentation. MPS is an IT system that supports all processes in customer purchasing environment. A fixed-price project with full cycle development. 3000+ users working with the application around the world.

Solution
IBA Group responsibilities included detailed system analysis, application design, application development, functional and system testing, quality assurance, and one-year warranty support. An iteration approach with five releases was adopted for the project. Each release included analysis (reverse engineering from Smalltalk code); design and implementation; system, functional and acceptance testing; and deployment to production. The IBA team followed CMMI, common OOA/OOD practices, and client's internal standards.

Project Size/Duration
Stage 1. Legacy transformation: 18,000 person/days.
Stage 2. Further functional development: 40,000 person/days.

Results
The project is delivered on schedule and on budget. The complete migration release of MPS application is deployed to production.

Supplier Relationship Management Solution

 Client
 A world leader in the production of tires. The company operates more than 100 plants in 29 countries

Project Overview
Our customer made a decision to upgrade SAP systems, including Supplier Relationship Management Solution from SAP R/3 v.4.6 to SAP ERP and implement SAP SRM as an additional feature. The project involved the following SAP products: SAP R/3 v.4.6, SAP ERP 2005, and SAP SRM 7.0.

Solution
IBA is implementing the project in close cooperation with the customer. Launched in May 2007, the project is still underway. The development process is built using a standard production cycle that includes analysis of requirements, design, implementation, and testing.

Results
The customer's affiliates adopt the SRM on an ongoing basis. To date, all European affiliates of our customer are utilizing the new system. The solution provides enhanced capabilities for supplier relationship management, resulting in time reduction, quality improvement, and higher transparency.

Web Applications Production Support

Client
A worldwide leader in providing HDD products and storage solutions

Project Overview
IBA provides support for a number of customer applications, including Extranet n-Tier B2B application, Internet n-Tier B2C application, Extranet B2B web application, and a number of intranet applications that perform a range of functions for more than 18,000 users worldwide.

Solution
IBA works in close collaboration with the customer. IBA responsibilities include functional requirements definition, application design and development, unit testing, processing of customer service requests, interaction with customers, analysis and improvement of application performance, development of applications’ enhancements, ongoing applications’ administration, updating the applications’ code and testing the changes, continuous study of new technologies and the possibility to apply these technologies in the supported systems.

Results
IBA is providing remote support for customer applications on a daily basis. As a result, our customer achieved significant cost reduction and could focus its IT staff on problem areas and the activities that bring the greatest return.
