IBA and IBM Conduct Seminar for Belarusian Power Enterprises

On November 14, IBA jointly with IBM conducted a seminar entitled "Integrated IBM Solutions for Management Automation in Power Engineering". The event was held in Minsk under the auspices of BELENERGO (Belarusian State Energy Concern). Representatives of major Minsk and regional power enterprises, and state governing bodies attended the seminar.

The attendees showed keen interest in IBA and IBM reports and presentations because these addressed burning issues that are typical for Belarusian power engineering enterprises, namely the creation of a unified information space and the development of an integrated energy accounting system. In addition, speakers gave an overview of what IT companies can do in this respect and how the problems are solved in other countries. The discussions were held at the seminar, during breaks and after the event, which showed how relevant and timely the seminar was.

The seminar was aimed to promote joint IBM and IBA solutions among Belarusian power engineering enterprises. A lot needs to be done in this area and therefore, similar events will be held in the future.
