From March 15 to March 21, IBA Group participated in
CeBIT, the world's largest event in the area of information and
telecommunication technologies. This year, the exhibition gathered 480,000
visitors, which is 10 percent more than last year. According to Ernst Raue,
Deutsche Messe Board Member, "CeBIT was able to reaffirm its reputation as a
premium business event and innovations driver for the ICT community." The distinguishing feature of this event was the selection of the Russian Federation as the official Partner Country of CeBIT 2007. The decision was made by CeBIT organizers, namely Deutsche Messe and BITKOM. German Chancellor Angela Merkel appeared at the reception devoted to the opening of CeBIT 2007, addressing the audience in the Russian language. The CeBIT 2007 program included a Russian–German IT summit with Sergey Naryshkin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Leonid Reiman, Minister of the Russian Federation for Information Technologies and Communications; and Michael Glos, Minister of Economy and Technologies of Germany in attendance. In addition, four forums were held (on software development outsourcing, information security, enterprise solutions and IT–parks), as well as a meeting with representatives of Nordrhein–Westfalen on investments and business regulations in Germany.
IBA Group was one of the largest exhibitors in the Russian pavilion and delivered presentations at the Nearshoring Services Forum (Kirill Degtiarenko, Director of the IBA Business Development Center) and the Outsourcing Solutions Forum organized by Bitkom (Ulrich Lasarzik, Director of IBA Information Technology GmbH).
