From December 5 to December 6, IBA took part in the 3^rd Forum on banking information technologies Bank IT '06 that was held in Minsk.

Representatives of state institutions, leading Belarusian and foreign IT companies and banks, including the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, State Center of Information Security, Committee of State Control, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Communications and Informatization, IBM, SAP, HP, Cisco, and National Bank of the Republic of Belarus attended the event.

Banking IT is one of IBA focus areas of business. IBA is involved in the development of IT solutions and hardware for the banking sector since the very moment of its foundation. At the breakout session "IT Banking: architecture, tools, security, standardization, and communications", IBA Group representatives delivered the following reports:

• Building of HR systems in banking sector
• Specifics of banking workflow automation
• Banking: systems of information security

In addition, IBM and SAP took part in the forum. At the plenary session, IBM and SAP representatives spoke about the world trends of IT implementation in different banking areas.
