On December 12, a key event of the International SAP tour of Russia was held in Moscow at the Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel. The conference entitled “Effective Master Data Management” was devoted to the innovative SAP solution SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management (SAP NetWeaver MDM).

SAP AG (Germany) and SAP CIS (Russia) were the organizers of the conference, while IBA was a partner and a sponsor of the event.

Representatives of more than 100 major CIS manufacturing enterprises and trading networks attended the conference. Norilsk Nickel, Lukoil, Transmashholding, ALROS, and SeverStal were among them. The IBA delegation comprised Georgiy Sachok, Director of SAP Applications Division, and Dmitry Kaneutsau, Head of SAP R/3 Consulting Department.

At the conference, experts from SAP AG and SAP CIS presented basic concepts underlying NetWeaver MDM, spoke about the lines of NetWeaver MDM development designed to support innovative technologies, outlined NetWeaver MDM features, and shared their experience of NetWeaver MDM's successful implementation at international and Russian companies.

IBA delivered a report on master data management in the food industry. Prepared in cooperation with Nestle Ukraine, the report showed how to use SAP NetWeaver components as a toolkit for effective data management in a large–scale company. IBA summarized in the report the practical experience of its SAP consultants when implementing SAP NetWeaver at GLOBE Nestle in Ukraine and Russia. The report covered the following basic topics: master data distribution architecture, tools to prepare data for loading, and methods to improve data quality. In addition, different ways to improve the current SAP landscape using SAP NetWeaver MDM were presented.

At the request of conference guests and organizers, the report was copied and distributed among the attendees.
