On February 1, IBA participated in the IT Matchmaking Event that was held in Duesseldorf, Nordrhein–Westfalen, Germany. The event was organized by RUSSOFT, the association of Russian, Belarusian, and Ukrainian IT companies, in cooperation with BITKOM, the German Federal Union of Informatics, Telecommunications and Mass Media, GfW Nordrhein–Westfalen, the Economic Development Corporation, and telecommunications FTK, the Research Institute for Telecommunications.
Participants in the event had a unique opportunity to meet with representatives of German businesses interested in cooperation with Eastern European companies. Twelve Russoft members, including IBA, participated in the matchmaking, while the German side was represented by 18 companies. According to the matchmaking procedure, German companies appointed meetings with Russoft participants, while the latter could only view the process on the Internet. The maximum number of meetings for a Russoft company was 10. Nine German companies appointed meetings with IBA and one additional meeting was held at a networking event. Although it is too early to make conclusions, IBA looks forward to interesting and long–term cooperation with a number of German companies.
