IBA Group Introduces Payments by Bankcards in Minsk Metro
On December 12, contactless payments using Mastercard were enabled in the Minsk metro. Earlier, IBA Group launched contactless payments in the Minsk metro using Visa cards. IBA Group introduced the NFC technology as a part of the IBA Automated Fare Collection System (AFC). The solution is functioning at the Plošča Lienina station of the Minsk metro. Minsk is the third city in the CIS to introduce contactless payments in public transport after Moscow (Russia) and Kyiv (Ukraine).
Software Magazine Names IBA Group to 2017 Software 500
IBA Group was included in the Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers, now in its 35th year. IBA Group was ranked #304, with a total software and services revenue of US$100.6 million. IBA Group has been selected for Software 500 since 2008 when the company applied for inclusion for the first time.
IBA Group Signs Corporate Sustainability Agreement
On November 28, IBA Group signed an agreement on cooperation of socially responsible organizations of Belarus in the implementation of CSR projects. The local social foundation Fond Dobra that acts as the UN Global Compact Office in Belarus held an official ceremony of signing the CSR agreement in Minsk. Sergei Akoulich, CEO of IBA IT Park and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at IBA Group, signed the agreement on behalf of IBA Group.
IBA Group Conducts Courses for Belarusian Students
IBA Group conducted a number of IT courses for Belarusian university students in 2017. On December 26, students of the Belarusian State University (BSU) completed a course on multiplatform programming. For the sixth time, IBA Group conducted the training at the IBA–BSU IT Competence Center located in Minsk, Belarus. On December 21, a course on data management technologies held at the IBA–BSUIR Academic Center of IBM
Competences was completed. On December 18, a course on design and development of modern analytical systems, including DWH, Big Data, and Cloud was finished. On December 15, BSUIR students graduated from a course on fundamentals of Business Analytics in IBM Cognos BI and SAP BO environment.
