IBA Group Opens Campus in Belarus High–Tech Park
On June 8, IBA Group conducted an opening ceremony for its new campus in Minsk, Belarus. The campus includes an office building, a data center, a fitness center, a three–level parking facility, and a dwelling house. Sergei Levteev, IBA Group Chairman, Sergei Nalivaiko, Minister of Taxes and Duties of Belarus, Cesare Baroni, Vice President for Transformation and Operations, Systems & Supply Chain at IBM, and Valery Tsepkalo, High–Tech Park Director, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the opening of the campus.
IAOP Recognizes IBA Group in The 2016 Global Outsourcing 100
On June 6, the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) published The Global Outsourcing 100®, the listing of the world’s top outsourcing service providers in a special advertising feature of the 2nd Quarter 2016 FORTUNE 500 issue of FORTUNE® magazine. IBA Group is included in the Leaders category and recognized for Customer References, Awards & Certifications, Programs for Innovation, and Programs for Corporate Social Responsibility.
IBA Group Wins Belarusian Government Quality Award
On April 8, the Council of Ministers of Belarus approved a resolution of the Award Commission on winners of the national contest in quality management. IBA Group, namely JV IBA and IBA IT Park, were selected winners, JV IBA being a winner for the fifth time. IBA IT Park received a special award in the category Social Responsibility. IBA Group participated in the award competition in 1999, 2002, 2005, 2010, and 2015, and each time was selected a winner.
IBA Group Automates Analytical Accounting at Belarusian Railway
Belarusian Railway thanked IBA Group for an analytical accounting solution. Vladimir Balakhonov, Deputy Director at Belarusian Railway, said: “Implemented on SAP Business Objects and SAP BW, the solution is designed for analysis and organization of procurement planning campaigns at Belarusian Railway. The solution significantly reduced the time of collecting applications and improved the processes of regulatory and management accounting in material and technical supply.”
IBA Group Proceeds with IT Courses for University Students
On May 20, IBA Group awarded certificates to students of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR), who graduated from courses in multiplatform programming. The curriculum included development of web applications, design for mobile platforms using IBM Mobile First, and working with IBM middleware and server platforms. Within two additional courses, the attendees studied Linux OS, IBM DB2 for z/OS, and SQL.
On May 18, IBA Group and BSUIR awarded certificates to students, who successfully completed training in design and development of data warehouses and analytical systems. The curriculum included theory and practice of Data Warehousing (DWH) and ETL, DWH design using IBM DB2 and InfoSphere Data Architect, and ETL development on IBM DataStage. The best students were invited to join the IBA team.
